Branch Manager Contract Logistics

The Branch Manager Contract Logistics works on the Contract Logistics department. He/she reports directly to the Deputy General Manager Contract Logistics and is a member of the Management team. Client Details The foundation of the business consists of services such as International Freight Forwarding (by air or ocean), Contract Logistics (such as Warehousing), and Transportation (such as trucking).These services can act as standalone products or as part of our broader offering as a supply chain the core supply chain elements in place, we design, implement, and manage supply chains specific to global industry markets, or, bespoke solutions for more complex transportation models. As a service provider, we manage these elements with a focus on developing strong relationships with our customers to ensure long-term success for their transportation program. Description Responsible for the assigned site / logistics operation; Responsible for turnover and financial result; Responsible for health & safety, quality and process improvement projects on all aspects of the business; Responsible for the Contract Logistics operation; Controls costs and efficiency of the Branch; Manages operations and contract managers, supervisors and staff; Ensures that procedures are followed and adjusted when required; Identifies and implements process improvements, using the kaizen methodology; Acts on and solves operational problems; Establish senior management relationship with the customers of the branch; Ensures that customer management information is made, and that reporting to customers is made during business review meetings, that are based on agreed KPI's; Ensures customer complaints and claims are handled correctly; Overall responsible for the invoice process, including a structured and integrated monitoring process; Generates additional business from existing customers, if appropriate in cooperation with the sales department; Responsible for the contract and rate communications with the customers; Responsible for the assigned site, including facilities; Responsible for the logistics operations (warehouse and transport). Independence, responsibilities and influence: Responsible for all activities performed at the Branch, especially the Contract Logistics operation (warehouse and transport; Authorized to implement changes to the operation in order to improve performance, efficiency and/or cost; Authorized to recruit staff after approval or delegation from the Director Contract Logistics; Communication: Reports to the Director Contract Logistics; Communicates with managers, supervisors and CL Employees of the branch; Communicates with managers of other branches and supporting departments; Communicates with external partners such as suppliers, customers, authorities. Profile Education level: Relevant Bachelor degree. Knowledge/skills/ attitude: Managerial capabilities; Logistics (warehouse and transport) knowledge and experience; Experience with managing management, supervisors and Staff (+30); Excellent verbal and written proficiency in local language, and English; Good communicator, on different levels in the organization; Accurate, especially for financial figures; Service oriented and purposive, with strong focus on customer relationship; In-depth knowledge of logistic processes; Ability to perform under pressure; Problem solving ability.
